8th day. Leaving to NYC or staying?

Today started like every weekday here. When we got to school, though, most of the people were leaving to New York City to spend four days visiting The Big Apple. It was an optional trip, so not everyone was going. But, out of 91 people, only 13 are staying, all Spanish. The Russian people are all going to the big city. I'm sure they'll have lots of fun, but we have already had it here.
When we got to the hotel this morning, the ones who were staying had to decide what to do. We talked for a while and we decided to go to the beach, even if it was a cloudy morning. We took the volley ball with us, and we played a whole match before laying on the beach.
Then we went for a walk, and we took lots of pictures of us. Then, luckily, the sun made its presence and we went to swim for an hour, more or less. We were jumping the waves, because they were really tall today. It was a windy day, and there was a red flag with "Water is dangerous" in it, next to the lifeguard's seat.
When we finished with the beach we went back into the hotel, and we went to the pool. It was cold, but then we got into the spa, which almost burned us. It was really hot, so we kept changing the place to have cold and hot water.
Then, at one o'clock in the afternoonm we went to a pizzeria to have lunch. We ordered what we wanted, and then each one of us had to pay their part. But when we saw the bill, we were really surprised to see $5.80 of taxas and $9.26 of tips. It was really strange, because we don't have that in Spain.
When we finished, we went to rent some "bikes" of four people. It was great, and we rode until a Haunted Mansion a few street further. We got in there, not all of us, and it was really scary, at least for me. There was a man who spoke all the time with a scary voice, and we spent the whole time screaming. It was great, but I didn't feel really good when I was inside.
Then we went shopping to the souvenirs' stores in the boardwalk. We found a shop where small sharks were sold in cans, and starfish, and alive frogs and small dragons, and even crocodiles' heads. It was strange, because it was a souvenir shop.
Then we returned home in the bus. There are two buses, the one going to Virginia Beach and the one going to Norfolk. There were 5 people in the Virginia Beach one and seven in the Norfolk one.
We planned everything for tomorrow before leaving. I went home with Iris, just the two of us, because the Russian and Spanish girls fro my house are both in NYC.
I had dinner at 7pm, because I was meeting two friends at Barnes & Nobles an hour and a half later. We had a great time and we talked about what are we going to do tomorrow, because we're going to the mall!
